The Town of Harrison Volunteer Fire Department was founded in May 1927 after a special town meeting was called and $5,000 was appropriated to buy the town's first fire engine.
Not even a century later, times have certainly changed. Harrison's firefighters are as well-trained and experienced as any "big city" fire department, with the most advanced technology available to better fight fires.
